- A local news items in the "Doddridge County Republican" of Aug 29 1918, listing mailing addresses of local military men, contained the following entry: "Dallas B. Bailey, Co I, 67th Inft., Camp Sheridan, Montgomery, Ala., also writes for the Bugle." This was a reference to Dallas Bailey requesting that "The Bugle," an affectionate nickname for the "Doddridge County Republican," be sent to him. We have not found further indication as to where he may have been stationed during his term of enlistment.
