LETTER FROM GRADY PEARCY
New York City,
Nov. 10, 1918
Mr. L. R. Charter, Jr.
West Union, W.Va.
Dear Mr. Charter:
I arrived in New York two weeks ago from my second trip to France without any bad luck. It looks like the war is about over and we will all be home soon. Have been in Norfolk, Va., Boston, New York, Philadelphia and other cities since joining the Navy, but West Union has it on all of them as far as I am concerned. I never got as lonesome in my lifeas I am in New York.
Hoping to see all of my friends in West Union soon, I am, as ever
Your friend
GRADY PEARCY
