    • "Davis - The Settlers of Salem, West Virginia," p. 31, reports that Jethro F. Randolph died in 1857 at Greenbrier Run (Salem) in Doddridge County. But a notice in the "Coopers Clarksburg Register" of Wednesday, Jan 15 1858, states that he died "of Pneumonia and Pleurisy at Alfred Centre, N.Y., on the 27th" of December 1857.
