Two conflicting death record entries have Marvel L. Haught, age 75, dying on Nov 28 1924 at Oxford of old age; and Marville L. Haught, age 78y 7m 18d, dying Dec 28 1924 at Summers of old age. The latter appears to be the more accurate and is the basis for his birthdate of May 10 1846. The Dec 28 1924 date is also given for his death in the obituary of his wife. His headstone gives only the years 1846 and 1924. Birthplace given in death record as Greene Co, PA.

    7. [S5] Headstone.
      - Military marker gives unit as Co C, 6th Regiment, W.Va. Infantry. Name appears as Marville L. Haught, with birth/death dates of 1846-1924.
