Family Robert Alexander "Eck" MCCLAIN, b. 23 Aug 1856, Fayette Co, PA , d. 30 Sep 1952, Central Station, Doddridge Co, WV (Age 96 years) Married 25 Apr 1877 Doddridge Co, WV [3] Notes - Robert A. McClain's parents are identified in his marriage record as John A. & Nancy A. McClain, but in his death record and obituary as Robert & Nancy McClain. In the 1870 Census, he was enumerated in the household of Alexander J. & Nancy McClain in a manner implying that he was their son, although that year's census did not state relationships. Daniel S. McClain's 1920 obituary listed Alex McClain as a surviving brother, possibly this Robert Alexander McClain. But he was not listed among surviving siblings in Nancy McClain Husk's 1938 obituary. We have not found him in the 1860 Census.
