    KELLEY, SHAWN O., 18, of 5232 77th St. N., St. Petersburg, died Sunday (Aug. 13, 1989) in the Gulf of Mexico as the result of an airplane crash. He was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., and came here in 1975 from Salem, W.Va.

    Locally, he was a student at St. Petersburg Junior College. He was a member of Pinellas Park Wesleyan Church, where he was video minister and youth worker. He graduated from Pinellas Park High School in 1988. He participated on the the track team in the shot put and javelin events. He also played center on the football team. He was a member of Pinellas Park Civil Air Patrol and ROTC.

    Survivors include his mother, Mary, St. Petersburg; his father, Kenneth, West Union, W.Va.; two half brothers, Brian, West Union, and Dwayne, Sedalia, W.Va.; his paternal grandmother, Dara May, Salem; and several nieces and nephews. John S. Rhodes, West Chapel, St. Petersburg.
