    Cline Stansberry played on the Doddridge County High School undefeated team of 1944 and was team captain in 1945. He returned to DCHS as a teacher and coach, The original school football field along Middle Island Creek, where a preschool and kindergarten now stand, was named in his honor. When a new athletic facility was built, it too was name Cline Stansberry Stadium.
