    "Daniel Rollins, recently appointed postmaster at Central Station, Doddridge county, is a deaf mute, the only to ever hold such a position in the State."

    "Daniel Rollins has recently sold his grocery store to Grant Smith; they invoiced Thursday. Dan will go to Parkersburg."

    News item, "West Union Record," Thursday, August 12 1915, in its entirety:
    POST OFFICE AT CENTRAL STATION IS ENTERED
    Thursday night of last week, the post office at Central Station was entered and a lot of mail broken open. There were only ten cents in the office. These with foru or five razors belonging to the postmaster, Daniel Rollins, were taken.
    A night or two prior to that, the post office at Wick, in Tyler County, was entered. It is reported that about $50 were taken there.
