[Doddridge County Will Book] Note (2) From the minutes of the Board of Supervisors of Doddridge County (Commissioners Report), page 4, Wednesday, April 6, 1864, at the Doddridge County Court House: "Lewis H. Pigott presented to the board an account against the County for beef he furnished the wives of soldiers in the service of the United States, which said account being sworn to is allowed and ordered to be paid out of the fund allowed by the County Court of this County at the final Term 1863 of said Court, amounting to the sum of twenty dollars and seventy-six cents, and the Clerk of this board is authorized to give an order therefore, for the payment of said sum by the Sheriff of said County." Note (3) Age 9 in 1860 Census would put birth in about 1851, but she was age 1 in the 1850 Census, and age 21y 6m in death record would put birth in early 1849.
