(12) Findagrave.com. Event Notes Note (1) Age 38 at time of 1877 marriage would put birth in about 1839, and 1900 Census states birth date as Jun 1840. But age 15 at 1850 Census and age 35 at 1870 Census would put birth in about 1835. Her obituary states her birth date simply as 1834, as does her headstone. While her marriage record indicates birthplace as Monongalia County, her obituary states the neighboring Greene County, Pennsylvania. The border between the two counties was inexact and changing at that time, and it is not unusual to have both counties reported as a birthplace.
