Event Notes
Note (1) There is a conflict in birth dates as reported by Minnie Kendall Lowther in
"History of Ritchie County."  A birthdate of Aug 27 1799 is specified for Amy
Maxwell (p. 604), but her father reportedly died in 1796 (p. 600) and "in 1799
his widow, Mrs. Jane Lewis Maxwell, with her six orphaned children removed to
Harrison county..." (p. 600).  Amy Maxwell Peck's headstone shows a death date
of May 23 1847, aged 48 years.
