(6) Lewis County Death Records, Weston, WV, There are two conflicting records of this death, in different counties: (1) Doddridge County Death Records, Page 99 http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view.aspx?Id=5045619&Type=Death Identified as Chas. T. McIntyre, white male, 72, married, farmer; died Oct 19 1914 (location not specified), cause of death nervous breakdown. Informant: C. S. Pease, undertaker. (2) Lewis County Death Records, Page 138 http://www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view.aspx?Id=4929400&Type=Death Identified as Chas. T. McIntire, white male, 74, married, farmer; died Oct 19 14 at hospital, cause of death "Gen. Arteriosclerosis." Informant: C. Denham, physician. NOTE: The second record appears to be the more accurate. His obituary stated that he "passed away at the hospital at Weston. He had been in failing health for near a year past, and was only removed to that institution a little more than a week before the end." (7) Findagrave.com. Harrison Co, res. Doddridge Co, dau of Thomas & Matilda Williams. Married Nov 1 1866 in Doddridge County. (Note: Basis for wife's mother being identified as Matilda is not clear, but is probably a clerical error. She is identified elsewhere, including marriage and census records, as Martha.), MR p. 258. Event Notes Note (1) Age 7 in 1850 Census would put birth in about 1843. Note (2) Military records indicate that on Aug 22 1862 in Mannington, Marion County, Charles T. McIntire joined for duty and enrolled for a term of three years. The record shows his age as 21, birthplace Marion County, height 6', dark complexion, dark hair, gray eyes. He mustered in as a Private, Co H, 14th (W)Va Inf, in Wheeling on Sep 1 1862. In May 1863 he was not present with his unit because he was "working on Block house at Bridge 21 B & O R.R." In Jul & Aug 1864, he was away at the U.S. Hospital in Parkersburg, W.Va. for treatment of diarrhea. In Sep & Oct 1864, he was away at the U.S. Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was appointed Corporal on May 12 1865. He mustered out with his company at Cumberland, Maryland, on Jun 27 1865.
