On page 31, the dates b. Mar 20 1778 and d. Mar 8 1857 are given, while on page 354 the dates are b. Mar 20 1775 and d. Mar 8 1853. A Sons of the American Revolution application in 1926 stated the 1775-1853 dates. On that basis, and since the 1775 birth date was given in the Davis book as part of a sequential listing of Jonathan and his siblings, the 1775 birth date does appear to have more credence. The 1775 date also conforms to his age at death and age in the 1850 Census. As for his date of death, Jonathan's death record in Harrison County (not New Milton, Doddridge County, as given in the SAR application) clearly shows his date of death as Mar 9 (sic) 1853. Randolph was brought home." Note (4) http://www.doddridgecountyheritageguild.com/abandoned-randol ph-family-cemetery Note (5) In household of daughter and son-in-law, Emily & Hiram Jennings.
