Event Notes Note (1) Age in marriage record would put birth in about 1842, as does age 8 in 1850 Census. But age 16 in 1860 Census and 25 in 1870 puts it in about 1844 or 1845. Marriage record states birthplace as Tyler County, presumably intended to be Taylor County, where her family had resided before coming to Doddridge. A notation in the 1870 Census indicates that she was unable to read or write.
