Note (1) Headstone reads:  Dorces, wife of Samuel Husk.
Note (2) Birth previously reported as Feb 11 1846 in Greene Co, PA.  But his West
Virginia death certificate specifies his birth as Apr 13 1846 in "Whetzel Co
Va," now Wetzel Co, WV.  His age at death, given as 82y 0m 18d, conforms to that
birth date.  But in the death record maintained at Calhoun County, which does
not specify a birth date, his age at death is given as 82y 2m 18d, which would
put his birth date at Feb 13 1846.  The 1900 Census also states his birth date
as Apr 1846.  Validity of his Wetzel County birthplace is unclear, since all
other members of this family are thought to have been born in Greene Co, PA. 
Informant for the death certificate was Cordelia Husk Boggs, his youngest
daughter.
Note (3) Birthplace incorrectly given in death record as Calhoun County.
Note (4) Misidentified in son Samuel's death record as "B. Harrison Coon."
Note (5) It has been reported by some researchers that Sarah Elizabeth Husk was born
in California, then moved to Ohio.  But this is inconsistent with all other
records.  Her 1879 marriage record in Calhoun County states her birthplace as
Ohio, while her death record specifies Washington, PA.
Note (6) Although death record gives birthplace as Calhoun County, marriage record
states Roane County.
