But age 32 in 1910 Census would put birth at about 1878, and age 3 in 1880 and age 53 in 1930 Census puts it at about 1877. His World War I Draft Registration Card states his birth date as Apr 28 1875, while the SSDI specifies Apr 28 1876. A delayed birth record, filed in Doddridge County on Sep 18 1942 on affidavit of his sister Ellen, indicates that his birth was in Newman W.Va. on Apr 28 1875. In all likelihood, however, based on the three census entries, it appears that his actual birth date was in April 1877. Note (2) Marriage date given in wife's obituary as Sep 20 1932, but marriage record shows it as Sep 10 1932.
