Note (1) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Mar 1825, age 75, b. in Ohio, both parents
born in Maine.  But age 37 in 1870 Census would put birth in about 1833, age 51
in 1880 Census puts it in about 1829, age 25 in 1860 Census puts it in about
1835, and age 27 at time of 1862 military enlistment also puts it in about 1835.
Note (2) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Mar 1831.  But age 20 in 1860 Census would
put birth in about 1840, age 27 in 1870 Census puts it in about 1843, and age 41
in 1880 Census puts it in about 1839.  Age in death record would put it in Mar
1832.
