Note (2) Birthplace given in obituary as Shirley, which is in Tyler County. But birth record shows it as Doddridge County. Note (3) Although his birth record reflects a birth date of Apr 22 1887, and his death record indicates a birth date of Jun 21 1887, the 1900 Census shows it as May 1887, and his headstone specifies May 28 1887. Similarly, his death record states a death date of Oct 2 1900, while his headstone and his sister Icy's obituary show it as Oct 21 1900. Note (4) Death record and obituary give burial location as Eventide Cemetery in Spencer, which is where his second wife Lillie Hively is buried.
