Event Notes
Note (1) Birth date given in obituary and in SSDI as Jun 10 1929.  But he was not
present for the 1930 Census, and his birth record shows his birth date as Jun 10
1931.  It would be only speculation to suggest that the discrepancy results from
him misstating his age in order to enter the Army in 1948, just as his brother
Arzie did before him.
