Event Notes
Note (1) According to "West Union WV Cemeteries (Doddridge County)," published in July
1990, there are headstones for Eldridge Spurgeon and his wife Evelyn in the
Spurgeon family plot at Masonic Memorial Park Cemetery at Crystal Lake (West
Union), Doddridge County.  Both markers were reported to have the birth date
1922, but with no death date.  However, we were informed by immediate family
that their burials were instead made in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in
Martinsburg, where they and their son had taken up residence.
